  • 1925 OVERLAND TOURING
  • Vehicle Description : hello, well I never thought I would be selling this car but due to my purchase of my dream car (a 1937 packard convertible), I must sell. The car is an original, unrestored, great running and driving, full of character and patina 25 overland touring. I purchased the car a year ago to take my children out for rides and that is what I have done. My kids named the car "sparky" and we have had many happy trips around the area. The body is good with only 1 small rust spot. The paint is either original or repainted 50 years ago. It looks old, original and neat. The tires are old but tubed and are very useable. The seats were redone many years ago and look pretty nice. The top is most likely original. I rarely have it up and think of it only as a way to stay dry if you get caught in a storm. The tranny works good and I put a new clutch in it last fall. I had the clutch plates made of kevlar and the clutch should last the next 80 years. I am a mechanic and just 3 weeks ago finished a motor overhaul. The engine was bored, sleeved, 2 pistons replaced, head milled, valves done (set to run on regular unleaded gas), head gasket replaced etc... She runs very nice. I put a new battery in and a master power disconnect switch on. The radiator was cleaned out and is very nice. The cars cruises along at 35 to maybe 40 and I just went for a 39 mile drive today with my son and we had a blast. This is not a restored car. If you want a restored, perfect and totally original car please look elsewhere. This neat old car needs a home like I gave her where she was taken out for fun rides and appreciated for being a road ready survivor. If I can figure out a way to pay for my packard without selling this car I may pull the auction, but as things stand she is for sale and I hope she goes to a home that will enjoy her as much as we have. thank you and have a great day...phillip
